Tip 1:
Mental background: A motorbike can be driven fast and safely by keeping it loose. If one of the two has a cramp or overused, that is when everything becomes stiff and dangerous. Communicate with each other if your partner is doing something wrong. Driving in pairs is a team performance and needs for you to communicate and work together and not against each other.
More details are taught in the “Training for driving in pairs” Infos: www.dunn-racing.de
Tip 2:
Air pressure/preload: The air pressure should be checked on every day if possible. It has a much higher influence on the driveability with a vehicle with two wheels, than one with four wheels, like a car. When there is a higher load (when driving in pairs), the air pressure should generally be increased. When doing this, you should refer to the values of the tire manufacturer.
The preload should also be increased when there is a higher load. The increase should orientate around the extra load (Weight of the driver + weight of the co-driver.
Which values we recommend for which load and how to set your landing gear correctly will be taught in “Training for driving to time” Infos: www.dunn-racing.de
Tip 3:
Seat position : Provides you and your passenger with the necessary space. Especially with sportive motorcycles it is important to create the technically appropriate environment. In order to even enter this sociality, the opportunity to be the driver should forward an additional holding possibility mounted on the tank in the form of duo – drives.
Tip 4:
Pay attention to die Physical and mental condition of the passenger. Because of duo-drive the sociality is not always online, which means that it must not switch between acceleration and braking itself. She just leaves at least one hand on the handle firmly and is no longer plagued by load changes. This makes them feel much more secure, conditionally reduces the amount of stamina being used and usually reduces the pain in the wrists.
Our precise explanations about driving in pairs, about the driver, the passenger and the bike behavior can be found in the Fast Bike magazine (link to www.FastBike.de ) issued 02/2009 . In addition, we will offer in the 2011 season with www.dunn-racing.de special driving courses for driving in pairs.
